Double Jeopardy

Another selection by the parents; and not entirely a bad choice; sure it was another Ashley Judd ‘court-type-thriller’ but the action I must admit was pretty ‘on-the-money’; wish the parents would have as much enthusiasm for my film projects also.

Written by David Weisberg and Douglas Cook and directed by Bruce Beresford, this 1999 crime, mystery, thriller scored 1 win and 3 nominations. Although more than predictable Judd did a grand job naturally at portraying the strong and calm ‘don’t-wanna’- mess-with-me-lady’! Triple the action but they didn’t get the stains out! J I loved how the film kept its audience alert and interested every step of the way. Gorgeous landscapes, clear dialogue, and just enough sentimental moments to keep the viewer’s drive going; ‘Double Jeopardy’ not only educated us about the law but also taught us the lengths a woman is supposed to go for her child.

Ashley Judd, Tommy Lee Jones, and Bruce Greenwood, tell us the story that sometimes you don’t always have to play nice! J Especially after you’ve been convicted of murder wrongfully and punished for a crime you did not do.
